The Story Behind The New Song From Jimmy Barnes

Debuting a brand new song on Triple M's The Hot Breakfast this morning, the team share the real story behind Jimmy Barnes' new song.

Shutting Down Our Town, tells the story about Jimmy's life growing up in Elizabeth, South Australia.

The new song was written by Australian country music star Troy Cassar-Daly after reading Jimmy's first book, Working Class Boy.

Jimmy said after hearing the song for the first time, he ended up back in Elizabeth and he was brought to tears.
