Ben Simmons has officially announced he'll play international basketball for Australia.
The Philadelphia 76ers guard and, arguably, already Australia's best basketball player announced via social media last week that he'll suit up for the Boomers for the first time later this year.
The Boomers will face players well known to Simmons, when the suit up against Team USA for two exhibition games at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne in August before heading off to the FIBA World Championships in China.
But the deal to seal Simmons' as an Australian international wasn't straight forward, and this morning on The Hot Breakfast on Triple M Melbourne, Seb Costello detailed the three reasons why the deal was eventually finalised.
