The Undeniable Link between Wayne Bennett and the Dolphins

He may not have come away with the ultimate prize, but Wayne Bennett has certainly not ridden off into the sunset just yet. Despite the heartbreak of Sunday night’s loss to the Panthers there is still another chapter to be written in the storied career of the ‘Supercoach’.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast with Marto & Margaux Triple M’s NRL insider Dobbo told listeners that the link between Bennett and the announcement of the NRL’s seventeenth franchise, now more than likely to be the Dolphins bid out of Redcliffe, is undeniable.

“If I was a betting man, I would say Wayne Bennett”.

In other great news for the future of the game the NRL has signed off on a $100m/ five-year TV rights extension with Foxtel, Dobbo explaining that after suffering a significant hit during the covid period the new deal will allow the game to significantly build its war chest.
