The Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire has exclusively revealed that there is a spelling mistake on the new new $50 note.

LISTEN HERE:

The story came from the Hot Breakfast’s Hot Tips, with an anonymous caller letting us know about the microscopic stuff up.

The miniature text is part of a speech by Edith Cowan — who features on the note itself — and reads:

“I stand here today in the unique position of being the first woman in an Australian parliament. It is a great responsibilty.”

The last "I" in responsibility has been missed, and it's not just once - the speech repeats all the way down the note with the typo there every time.

It’s almost unnoticeable unless you have a magnifying glass, which thankfully we do:

Whoops!

We’re currently chasing up comment about the error.

If you've got a Hot Tip for the Hot Breakfast on anything that's going on in Melbourne we'd love to hear it - email [email protected] and we'll be in touch (you can be anonymous if you want!)
