A small Toowoomba business has been hit hard by thieves.

Ashley’s Auto Air owners arrived at work on Monday only to be confronted with the sickening site of a break-in.

Thieves targeted the Eyre Street business in Wilsonton by removing a panel of the  Colourbond fence to gain entry to the property, ransacking the business and taking off with $40,000 of tools belonging to their employees.

Police are appealing to the public for any information that can help them with their enquiries into the theft.  They believe the offenders had knowledge of the business.

If anyone saw a white ute with a canvas canopy rack in the vicinity of the break-in on Sunday they are being urged to contact police:

POLICELINK: 131.444

CRIMESTOPPERS: 1800.333.000

The car and its driver were seen on CCTV driving onto the premises on Sunday afternoon.
