Ryan Catholic College student, Joshua Ramadani has changed the lives of thousands of people on a cancer journey.

Last year the 14-year-old with the guidance of his grandparents, funraised $116,395 for Cancer Council Queensland- the highest amount raised by any Queenslander in 2016- and it didn't go unnoticed.

In recognition of his amazing efforts, Josh got to select a research application for CCQ and have it named in his honour.

CCQ made the exciting announcement this week...

"We are so very proud to name the Joshua Ramadani Family and Friends Research Grant honouring their award as the Highest Overall Fundraisers in the 2016 Cancer Free Challenge"

"The grant will fund vital research by Professor Rajiv Khanna at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research into the use of lifesaving immunotherapy in cancer treatment"
