After some cooler temperatures over the last few days, Sydney is in for a week of storms and wet weather.
Storms are expected across the state this afternoon, with the weather to follow a similar pattern for the next few days.
Temperatures are set to hit the 29C mark today, with 28C predicted for Wednesday.
Highs of 33C are predicted for Sydney's west.
"Thunderstorms could roll over the Illawarra in the early afternoon, and push through to Sydney by mid to late afternoon," a weatherzone spokesperson said.
"We are expecting the possibility of more thunderstorms on Wednesday, and even Thursday and looking into Friday so each afternoon the next couple of days we could see some thunderstorms."
The stormy weather is expected to subside by Saturday, where temperatures will climb to 35C in the west.
