Imagine having this good an attitude after a tough day in the field.

Australian skipper Tim Paine's caused a laugh after answering a journalist's phone after it rang during his press conference.

PAINE ANSWERS REPORTER'S PHONE:

The Aussies conceded over 600 on day two of the Sydney Test against India, with both Cheteshwar Pujara (193) and Rishabh Pant (159*) both piling on the runs.

But Paine was still in good spirits in his post-match press conference.

During the middle of a question, a phone in front of Paine belonging to one of the reporters in the room went off, grabbing his attention.

"Whose phone is that?" he asked, before picking up the phone anyway.

"Tim Paine speaking. Who is it, sorry?"

The person on the other end - 'Casey from Hong Kong' - was looking for one of the reporters in the room, and Paine's response was about as polite as it gets.

"He's in the middle of a press conference. Can I get him to call you back?" he said.

"Alright. No worries. I'll tell him to check his emails. Thanks, Casey. Cheers.

"Check your emails!"
