Hot Breakfast footy reporter Tom Browne says that Tyson Goldsack and Levi Greenwood had nothing to do with a reported altercation in the Northern Territory over the weekend.

LISTEN HERE:

There were reports that an altercation had occurred at a pub 1000km east of Darwin, in a town where the two Pies players had competed in a charity footy game.

The duo had played in the White Ribbon Football Competition and Family Day at Hindle Oval in Nhulunbuy and were at the Walkabout Tavern later where an incident occurred involving ex-Geelong and Bulldogs player Nathan Djerrkura.

Browne explained that he understood that the two Pies were categorically not involved:

“Goldsack and Greenwood had nothing to do with the fight and reported to Collingwood,” Browne said.

“It’s been written up in the last 24 hours as if they were sort of involved or somehow involved.

“My absolute understanding is they had nothing to do with it.”

Luke Darcy couldn’t udnerstand the media attention.

“It’s an interesting space where if you see a fight it’s a news story these days!” he said.

“That’s a fairly low bar to cross!”
