Tom Jonas Talks Finals & AFL Vaccine Mandates

Port Adelaide Captain Tom Jonas joined Roo and Ditts this morning.

Jonas had comments for the doubters out there that still believe Port Adelaide can't take the Premiership.

"They're adding fuel to the fire, it's great motivation for us. They can say what they want."

Despite going 19 goals unanswered over the weekend, Jonas is focused on the opening of the game:

"We were a bit rough for the first 40 minutes."

"If we do play that sort of footy this week, and moving forward, we'll certainly get caught out and probably won't be able to come back from that sort of deficit."

Aliir Aliir has been absolutely dominating this season and the Captain had this to say about him:

"He's been an absolute revelation. I love playing with him and he's been a great addition to our club on and off the field."

"He's just got a huge belief in his own ability. So regardless if something goes wrong a couple of minutes before, he'll put himself in the same position and have a crack at it again." 

When asked if Jonas believes there is an issue with the Competition of AFL mandating vaccinations, he replied with:

“There'd be a lot of people that’d be happy to get the vaccination but at the same time, they shouldn’t be forced.”
