With QLD borders still closed to interstate travellers, many businesses are struggling to stay a float with a complete halt on international and interstate tourism still in play.
This had understandably caused backlash, with much of the criticism being slung in the direction of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate.
This morning, Bridge & Spida had a chat with the man himself, to find out exactly how much flack he is copping for the tough QLD border restrictions.
Bridge asks Tate how he feels knowing some tourism vendors may not ever open their doors to the public again and what he thinks is best for the city.
