Manly Sea Eagles fullback Tom Trbojevic claimed the 2021 Dally M Medal on Monday night after a sensational season.

Despite missing the first four rounds due to injury, Trbojevic flew home to win his first Dally M Medal.

The fullback scored 25 tries, and finished the season with 27 try assists through the regular season.

Enjoying a stellar season, Trbojevic finished ahead of Penrith's Nathan Cleary in the count with 35 points to claim the league's highest individual honour.

After Cleary, the leaderboard read South Sydney's Cody Walker (29) in third, Trobojevic's teammate Daly Cherry-Evans and Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco (equal 23 points) rounded out the top five.

Trbojevic's remarkably missed nine games all up this season, it was the fewest matches played by a Dally Medallist in the award's history.

The 24-year-old became the third Manly player to win the award, joining Cliff Lyons (1990 and 1994) and Matt Orford (2008).

"I was just reading the past winners and to be recognised amongst that list is pretty special," Trbojevic told reporters.

"To the Manly boys, Dessie [coach Des Hasler] and Chez [Daly Cherry-Evans], I couldn't have done it without you.

"This medal is a beneficiary for all your hard work and effort."
