Toowoomba-based RACQ LIfeflight Rescue Chopper Had a Busy Weekend

It was big weekend for the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, kicking off on Saturday when a man aged in his 30's was airlifted following a single vehicle accident south-west of Toowoomba.

The man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition with head, neck, and pelvis injuries after his vehicle collided with a tree.

A second man was also airlifted from the scene in a stable condition and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital.

The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked a second time when they airlifted a 75 year old man from Kingaroy to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition on Saturday night after he was injured in a farming accident involving a tractor.

The man sustained an arm injury, including lacerations to his right arm and leg. Local police and Queensland Ambulance Service personnel helped to illuminate a landing area for the helicopter with their vehicle headlights.

It has been a busy start to the weekend for the Toowoomba crews who also airlifted another two patients - one from Goondiwindi and one from Dalby - with both being taken to Toowoomba Hospital.
