As part of Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers the Rowes Building with come to life with colourful animations projected onto the front of the building showcasing highlights of 2017 Carnival of Flowers and the beauty that our region has to offer.
But that’s not all. Just when you think things have started to slow down during our 10 day festival of festivals, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, this happens:
Toowoomba’s untold stories will be illuminated from September 28-29 as part of a new two-night street art festival for the city.
Bold and colourful light projections and sculptures will be created by local and internationally established artists to reactivate the city by night, with artists Craig Walsh, Jessie Wright and Connor Quill and Kellie O'Dempsey.
LIT Festival: Stories in Light is encouraging people to explore Toowoomba into the evenings and breathe more energy into the nightlife.
Think VIVID Festival in Sydney meets Toowoomba.
WHEN: SATURDAY 28 & SUNDAY 29 SEPTEMBER
WHERE: TOOWOOMBA INNER CBD STREETS, HERRIES, RUTHVEN, MARGARET & HUME
LIT Festival will be held alongside the Carnival of Flowers and utilise the influx of visitors looking for creative late night events.
The festival will create dynamic light projections using the city’s historical facades as canvases, at locations including Bell Street Mall, Queens Park and Grand Central.
LIT Festival: Stories In Light will be held on September 28-29 throughout the CBD. The festival is planned to be held biennially.
