Toowoomba Second Range Crossing ‘Name’ Debate
What do you think is should be named?
It seems the naming of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is causing a bit of a debate.
Last year Toowoomba Regional Council revealed that the $1.6 billion bypass could be named “Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Multuggerah Way.” Multuggerah was the leader of Jagera nation.
Earlier this week a Chronicle reader sent a letter to The Chronicle in support of the name, which prompted The Chronicle to pose the question to their followers – “what do you think of the name?”
This sparked an overwhelming response with over 100 locals having suggested a different name, some as simple as “Range Crossing” or “Toowoomba Bypass”.
