Tourists keep stacking it on the Great Wall of China and, honestly, the gags just write themselves.

The 20,000-odd kilometre-long wall stretches from the the north-east of the country - close to the North Korea border - to near the Gobi Desert, in the centre of China.

That section in the north, however, runs pretty close to Siberia, which means there's a fair bit of ice and snow on the ground at the moment - leading to prime slip-and-slide conditions.

Great Wall? More like the Great FALL!

Sorry.

But you don't have to take our word for it; because the Great Wall is literally the biggest tourist attraction in the world, there are plenty of cameras that just happen to be out, recording and pointed at the very people who can't stay up.

While it's not clear exactly where the videos have been filmed, it's assumed that it might be near Zhangjiakou, close to Beijing, where temperatures can drop as low as -13.

Why people are still attempting to climb treacherous, ice-covered inclines in those conditions is slightly baffling but it has provided us with comedic footage so who are we to question?

It has also reminded us of this cracker from 2010, when the main news channel in Ireland ran a news story that included a clip of a bypasser absolutely smashing himself on an icy footpath.
