Townsville Family Switch On Christmas Lights To Raise Funds For Sick Kids

This Saturday is the traditional day to put up your Christmas tree and decorate your home, but for one Townsville family it will be extra special. 

Ben O'Neill will switch on his Christmas light display on December 1, while raising funds for Give Me 5 For Kids. 

A sausage sizzle will be running, with donations welcomed to support sick children's charity. 

Santa will have the honour of switching on the light display around 7:30pm, which will bring to life thousands of light bulbs! 

The extra treat is that the lights at Ben's house will be synced with music too, so you can sit back and enjoy it all from your car too. 

You can see Santa switch on the lights at the O'Neill's home at 5 Hilo Street in Burdell, this Saturday.
