The traffic is slowly starting to clear up through Surfers Paradise and Main Beach with the end of the Gold Coast 600.

Event organisers claim the track infrastructure should be completely packed up by November 9th, with traffic within the circuit to return to two-way from 5pm on Monday.

All southbound traffic will be diverted at Waterways Drive through to Ocean Avenue as night works commence, taking place for the rest of the week.

Here is the road works schedule for the remainder of the week:

Monday 22nd October:
- During the day the circuit remains one-way with access limited as per the past week. Traffic within the circuit will begin to go back to two-way traffic from 5.00pm;
- Night works commence from 7.30pm - 5.00am and will take place for the rest of the week. All southbound traffic will be diverted at Waterways Drive through to Ocean Avenue; and
- The traffic switches on the Gold Coast Highway remain in place and will be removed by 5.00am on Tuesday 23rd.

Tuesday 23rd October:
- Nightworks continue from 7.30pm, southbound traffic diverted at Waterways drive; and
- Day works along the Gold Coast Highway, the northbound fast lane will be taken out by traffic control.

Wednesday 24th October;
- Nightworks continue from 7.30pm, southbound traffic diverted at Waterways drive; and
- Day works along the Gold Coast Highway, the northbound fast lane will be taken out by traffic control.

Thursday 25th October;
- Nightworks continue from 7.30pm, southbound traffic diverted at Waterways drive; and
- Surfers Paradise Boulevard will be blocked from 7.30pm.

Friday 26th October;
- Nightworks continue from 7.30pm, southbound traffic diverted at Waterways drive.
