TRC Deputy Mayor Geoff McDonald Speaks On Aus Day Events

Toowoomba communities have raised concern ahead of next week's Australia Day holiday, Lee welcomed in Deputy Mayor of Toowoomba Regional Council, Geoff McDonald for an update on which events are going ahead.
As the current COVID outbreak continues across the state, McDonald remains adamant that events and ceremonies will continue as planned.
Given the current circumstances, all events will follow Queensland Health's guidelines, as many seek answers on how to fill their public holiday.
McDonald explained that the events will run outdoors, along with limited attendance capacity.
"It's a balance of being responsible, but making sure we do celebrate this national day on our calendar," McDonald explained.
McDonald provided an update on the events going ahead, ensuring community award winners receive their plaudits.
