SPC has made the decision to relinquish ownership of iconic jam brand IXL - and sauce, condiment & dressings brand Taylor's.

Over the past 6 months - 121 first home buyers in the Goulburn Valley have received $20 thousand under the scheme.

It's a doubling of the previous amount offered to those planning to build and own a private property valued up to $750 thousand.

Pig Racing Australia will provide the headline act at this year's Seymour Alternative Farming Expo.

From February 16 to 18 - pigs will be demonstrating their track and field skills - running around straight and loop tracks - as well as diving from nearly boards nearly 3 metres high into water below.

MTV Productions owner Michael Vandeleur says none of the pigs that are used are purpose bred for racing.

Preparations are in full swing for the Victorian Country Long Course Swimming Championships - being held this weekend at Aquamoves.

It kicks off with heats at 9am on Australia Day for ages 11 and under - right through to the Open category.

We have 30 people from the Shepparton Swimming Club competing across the three days.
