Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is celebrating a record breaking year for its annual charity drive, Give Me 5 for Kids, having raised $2,581,548 across Australia in 2017 as a result of extensive fundraising efforts across its radio and television networks

The amount is more than 15% better than last year’s total and is the fourth year-in-a-row the Give Me 5 for Kids campaign has raised over 2.2 million.

More than 95% of this year’s donations will go directly to children’s wards in regional hospitals that will help purchase lifesaving equipment.

Triple M Limestone Coast is excited to announce that fundraising in 2018 has netted more than 20,000 for the South East Health Service and the Paediatric wards of the Mt Gambier, Naracoorte and Millicent hospitals.

Moneys raised wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of local businesses, community groups and the support of the Limestone Coast community who year on year support the fundraising for Triple M’s Give Me Five For Kids.

Limestone Coasts Triple M’s General Manager, Patrick O’Donnell said: “Triple M is proud to be involved in Give Me Five for Kids, helping to raise much needed funds for the children’s wards of our local hospitals.  We have raised over $270,000 locally for our hospitals over the last twelve years, and are proud to be involved in such an initiative”.

Give Me Five for Kids has continued to grow with increased community support, with the beneficiaries of the campaign the children’s wards and facilities at local hospitals.
