MIDDAY: A truck driver's escaped uninjured and all northbound lanes have just reopened, after his truck burst into flames on the M1 at Mt White this morning.

The inferno broke out just after 9am razing through the cabin and burning through a section of bushland on the side of the busy motorway.

Traffic's currently clearing up, after being banked up for more than four kilometres for most of the last three hours.

Meantime another smash on the highway in our patch has just cleared up.

Three cars earlier collided southbound near roadworks at Wyong but traffic's smooth there now.


THIS MORNING: A man in his twenties is recovering in Gosford Hospital this morning after rear-ending a garbage truck in Erina.

The impact leaving him trapped in his car on Karalta Lane around 7am, before he was taken to the Emergency Department with minor chest injuries.
