Two homes have caught on fire at Mudgeeraba in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
The large blaze broke out around 1.15pm on Friday before consuming two properties on Rainbow Drive.
Queensland Ambulance confirmed a man in his 40s was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
Six fire crews were needed to contain the fire, which caused a lot of smoke in the area.
The incident was being investigated by police.
