Two Injured In Helicopter Crash At Bankstown Airport
Only minor injuries
Two men have been lucky to escape a helicopter crash, at Bankstown Airport, with only minor injuries after their chopper crashed at low altitude.
The tail of the helicopter appears to have been detached upon the crash landing.
"I heard a crash and heard the tail rotor hitting the ground,” a witness told News Corp.
"I saw (the two people inside) walking away from the helicopter, they were about 30 metres away."
A 53-year-old male flight instructor and his 43-year-old student were treated by Emergency services at the scene.
Police are appealing for any information from those who saw the crash.
