Two Men In Serious Condition Truck Crash Lake Wivenhoe

Two men are in a serious condition following a truck crash at Lake Wivenhoe in the early hours of this morning.

Police say they believe the truck overturned and left the Brisbane Valley Highway hitting a number of trees around 3:30 this morning.

The pair were trapped following the crash with Queensland Fire and Emergency assisting in freeing the men.

The RACQ Rescue LifeFlight chopper is on the scene at the moment while the forensic crash unit is investigating.

Those of us heading East are being warned the road between Wivenhoe Pocket and Fernvale will be closed most of the day,  drivers advised to take a detour through Lowood.

The Forensic Crash Unit attended the location and are conducting investigations into the crash.
