Tyson Pedro Predicts Former Rugby League Player To Be Australia's Next UFC Champion

UFC fighter Tyson Pedro has told Triple M, fellow Australian Alexander Volkanovski will become Australia's next world champion in the UFC. 

"Volks will be our next champion," Pedro told Triple M ahead of UFC 234 in Melbourne. 

"He is just one of those guys that just doesn't stop." 

"Amazing grit, super nice guy, he's got a fantastic style."

Volkanovski, former rugby league prop forward, used to weigh 97kgs during his career.

Incredibly the New South Welshman fights in the 66kg division and is just one win away from a UFC title shot. 

A fight with MMA legend Jose Aldo in Brazil is likely what's next for Volkanovski.
