As They Do Best

There'll will be angry rallies around the nation today, as university students gather to protest against Canberra's budget cuts to higher education.
The new Federal Budget wasn't too friendly to higher education a few weeks ago, slicing off $2.8 billion in funding. At the same time, the Turnbull Government wants to increase student fees and lower the repayment threshold for HELP loans.
Protests will be held in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
It wont be the first time students have made their feelings felt to Canberra. Education minister Simon Birmingham was confronted by protesters on live TV the other night, during a Q&A appearance.
Vice-chancellors have also condemned the fee hike at the same time as cutting their funding as "double whammy".
