'Unwanted' Jack Bird Cites Reason for Broncos Departure

Jack Bird has finally opened up on his time at Red Hill, telling The Rush Hour with Dobbo that he’s excited by his future prospects after calling time on his stint at the Broncos.

Bird, who endured a miserable stint in Brisbane, only taking to the field seventeen time in three years after being hampered by injuries, told Dobbo that he felt unwanted and abandoned by the club despite having a year to run on his contract, citing his move to the Dragons.

“No one really reached out to me when I had those injuries so that was a tough moment”

“I wasn’t very happy up at Brisbane” Bird told The Rush Hour with Dobbo

“I didn’t feel like I was wanted at the Broncos anymore, I feel like at the Dragons they really wanted me there”

The 25 year old, who has now returned to the Dragons on a two-year deal already has plenty to look forward to, including being reunited with former Broncos teammate Ben Hunt who is “so bloody excited” to have the former Sharks premiership player at St. George/ Illawarra
