Poppy & Leigh spoke to Member for the Riverina & Deputy Prime Minister, Michael McCormack this morning to get the latest update on the COVID-19 closures.
A new round of closures and restrictions were announced last night as part of a stage two shutdown.
Coronavirus cases are skyrocketing each day around the country and the National Cabinet have had to make decisions to protect Australians. These include:
- Auctions & open house inspections are now banned
- Outdoor & indoor markets are banned
- Beauty therapies are banned
- Hairdressers & barbers are to continue - obeying the social distancing restrictions
- Amusement parks & arcades are to close from midnight
- Personal training classes are to be limit to 10 people outdoors with social distancing measures
Mr McCormack spoke about the importance of containing the virus to Poppy & Leigh, he addressed the Centrelink queues and what we have to do in order to keep ourselves & the community safe.
