Very special book launch of two local authors

Two talented and remarkable Esperance women have written and published a book each! To be launched and celebrated this Friday from 5pm at the Esperance Senior Citizens Centre.

Sally Ashbil wrote the story of Samson, the Story of a Happy Horse over thirty years ago, and it was only until earlier this year that she decided to take it from draft form into a fully illustrated, children’s book. The story is based on Sally’s own life, her love for all animals especially horses and the strong, happy horse that she had in the Perth hills years earlier.

Now I’m Sixty-Four is Sue Starr’s work, a beautiful collection of poetry that follow the journey of her life and pay homage to the important and supportive figures that guided her through to her sixty-fourth birthday. The rhyming verse is a wonderful way to reflect on Sue’s life and provides a flowing and stunning read.

Both will be selling their published works, only to cover the costs of the projects, at the Esperance Seniors Citizen Centre, as well as celebrating the hard work accomplished from everyone involved in the books throughout the writing and publishing process. Any proceeds made from the night will be given to charity.
