Victoria has recorded 1,890 new local Covid cases today, showing the number is still high after yesterday's 1,956 record.

There were 74,105 tests results received and 5 people have died.

As the state continues to struggle under soaring infection numbers, it's predicted Victoria could hit 3,000 daily cases by the end of the month.

Currently, 58 per cent of Victorians are fully vaccinated, with 85 per cent having had one dose.

Light is on the horizon though. While vaccines continue to ramp up, 2,000 health care personnel from overseas have the green light to come back and bolster our health care system.
