Violent Offences Up, Thefts Down On Coast

Mixed results for the Central Coast in the latest Crime Stats.

The Bureau of Statistics has this morning released figures, showing violent offences - a category including sexual domestic and common assaults - have gone up 3.3% over the last five years.

Despite the jump there, several other crimes have been trending down.

Break and enter from homes and non-dwellings, thefts from motor vehicles, and malicious damage to property all declining over the past two years.
