Free STI testing will be available at music festivals in WA this summer, starting with Falls Festival in Fremantle.

The State Government initiative is aimed at reducing the rates of chlamydia and gonorrhea.

We'll be having pamper zones at this festival where people will be able to come and provide a small sample and get themselves tested for chlamydia.

- Health Minister Roger Cook

The zones will be equipped with superior toilets, while those who choose to get tested will be provided with refreshments and condoms.

From September 2017 to September 2018 you people from 16-24 accounted for more than 50 per cent of the 11,486 notifications of chlamydia in the state.
