WA’s Finest Independent Musicians In Action
WAMFest hits town
It was almost a decade ago that WAMFest (or the WAMis, as the festival was called then) last seriously spread the love out in regional WA.
With the skyrocketing popularity of WAM’s projects such as ‘Sounds Of’ compilation recording series and Regional Touring Circuits in recent years, this weekend WAMFest will celebrate some of the incredible local talent found in regional WA, the week before the metro festivities kick off.
WA’s biggest local festival will see six shows taking place in regional WA, with showcases held in Margaret River, Dunsborough, Bunbury, Merredin, Mandurah and Albany. Both Albany and Dunsborough will host Mini-WAMCons, with WAMFest Live Coordinators and ex-regional musos Mark Neal and Skinny O’Leary sharing music industry knowledge at free workshops.
