Warwick Residents Want An "Off-leash" Dog Park

Warwick dog lovers are rallying behind a petition for an "off-leash" dog park.

A team of Southern Downs Council engineers will look into whether an off-leash dog park can be created in Warwick.

Over 350 locals who are passionate about setting up the park have submitted a petition to council.

Mayor Tracy Dobie says she is in favour of the idea and it won't only be beneficial for the dogs.

“A lot of people have dogs. I have two of my own and I go running with them every morning and I know how important it is for all of our residents.

A lot of people have dogs so that they can get out and walk their dogs and enjoy the environment.”
