Parents of little ones around the Freo area might be interested to know that the state's biggest toy library, the one managed by the City of Fremantle, is hosting an open day this Thursday October 4.

The toy library, at the Fremantle PCYC at 34 Paget Street in Hilton, is open four days a week and is one of the few fully-staffed toy libraries in Perth.

It’s stocked with a range of toys to suit 0-7 year olds, with expert staff to provide advice on selecting age and skill appropriate toys.

The open day will feature lots of fun for the family, including an appearance by Buster It’s All About Play and special guest presenter Wendy Binks – the author of the ‘Where’s Stripey’ children’s books - coming in to do a couple of story time sessions.

There's also a Cozy Coupe race track happening, a sensory play area, LEGO station, face painting and a sausage sizzle.

The Freo Toy Library Open Day is on Thursday 4 October from 10am-3pm and entry is free. More details on the library here.
