What Do You Think Of The Newell Highway Corridor Strategy?

The new government strategy focused on improving freight efficiency, road safety and flood preparation is now underway, with PwC Australia selected to deliver the study.

Michael McCormack, the Deputy Prime Minister, Nationals' Leader and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, said that the strategy will show the current performance and future challenges along the Newell Highway.

“A better Newell Highway will mean more competitive agricultural and mining sectors, thanks to a more reliable freight network through regional New South Wales. This will in turn support thegrowth of regional communities along the length of the Newell Highway.”    - Michael McCormack

The study will consider challenges in road safety and flooding to assist governments in making investment decisions. The Australian Government is fully funding the Newell Highway Corridor Strategy.
