The Northern Pride will join the other Intrust Super Cup teams this week and wear red socks during their game against the Falcons. 

It's all to get us thinking about donating blood and bone marrow as we begin the countdown in to Easter. 

But one very special little boy is at the centre of the campaign whose one of the very few children in Australia with Dyskertosis Congentia (DC). 

Grayson Little has had two bone marrow transplants and multiple blood transfusions but the need is ongoing as he requires a blood product every three weeks. 

One in three people will need blood in their lifetime, but only one in 30 currently give blood. 

That number goes down especially over holidays when many of us pack up the suitcase and head off for a quick getaway.
