Victorian batsman Will Pucovski has bolted into Australia's Test squad to take on Sri Lanka later this month.

Pucovski has played eight first class games for Victoria, averaging 49 with the bat, including a record-breaking 243 against Western Australia earlier in the season.

The 20-year-old took a break from the game after his double century due to mental health concerns, but returned in the most recent Sheffield Shield game, posting 1 and 67.

Matt Renshaw and Joe Burns have also been included.

Among those axed from the squad include both Shaun and Mitch Marsh, as well as Aaron Finch, who all struggled in the four Tests against India.

The bowlers are unchanged from the four-Test series.

Australia's Test squad:

Tim Paine (c), Josh Hazlewood (vc), Joe Burns, Pat Cummins, Marcus Harris, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Will Pucovski, Matt Renshaw, Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle
