Works start at Esplanade hotel site
After 10 long years!
Picture this!
It's 2007.
The West Coast Eagles had won the AFL premiership the year before
Former Albany boy Alan Carpenter the Premier of Western Australia
John Howard was our Prime Minister
And the walls came down at the Esplanade Hotel on Middleton Beach.
Then for ten years.....nothing!
Fast forward to 2017 and work is finally going ahead at the controversial site after ownership changes and debate and development ideas thrown around.
General Manager - Regional at Landcorp Stuart Nahajski spoke about what is happening on site at the moment.
Peter Watson who has been the member for Albany during this period gives us his thoughts on the lack of development over the past 10 years and how he is excited to see work finally underway.
