Youth Week is here, and once again there is a full program of activities and events scheduled across the Wattle Range Council area.

Open to youth aged 12 – 25 years, the theme for SA Youth Week in 2019 is ‘Participate and Celebrate’, providing local youth with an array of things to do during the coming school holidays.

The events will be held from the 10th to 18th of April and are designed to encourage youth to be active, socialise, be challenged and participate in unique activities that they may not have otherwise had the opportunity to do.

Council’s Manager Economic Development, Roger Babolka says “we are really pleased with the broad range of activities and events included in what is another exciting program this year. Equally as impressive is the support being provided for Youth Week from volunteers and organisations across the Wattle Range community.

“We’ve got more than 15 individual activities and events being held during the week; ranging from cooking demonstrations with renown local chefs, kite & cupcake workshops, drone events, mug decorating, giant games, movies and even an opportunity to put on your gumboots for ‘Dive into Drains’.

"Additionally, there is an opportunity for under 25’s to explore the Tantanoola Caves all week for free. There are also some great things happening with science and technology in the Millicent Library.”

All of the events and activities throughout the week are free and have been scheduled across various locations in the Wattle Range region.

To view the full program visit the Wattle Range Council website at www.wattlerange.sa.gov.au/youthweek.

To book your space at any of the events or for more information contact the Millicent office on 8733 0900 or find us on Facebook.
