Carl's Jr looks like it's finally expanding to Victoria, with as many 30 locations announced for the state.

The US giant has slowly been launching in Australia, with numerous outlets in other states such as NSW, Queensland and South Australia.

But they've finally confirmed their plans to head down our way, with 30 restaurants and perhaps as many as 70 planned for the state, including one apparently in the second quarter of 2018.

We're unsure of where they'll be - whether it's in Melbourne or in regional areas - but it's still good news for burger lovers.

CKE Restaurants president Ned Lyerly, whose company parents Carl's Jr, spoke of his excitement for the launch.

“We are thrilled to partner with CJ’s Victoria to bring our fresh-to-order handmade American classic menu items, vibrant brand and warm, friendly service to Victoria,” he said according to Inside Retail.

“We are also thankful to Invest Victoria for its support, which allows us to expand across Melbourne and regional Victoria, where we will be providing local jobs and hoping to add subsequent value by giving back to local communities."

Lyerly has previously been ambitious about the future of the fast food chain down under.

“We see potential for more than 300 restaurants over the next decade,” he told News Corp last year.
