A British cheese festival has issued an apology and has offered refunds after it ran out of cheese.

The Big Cheese Festival in Brighton, UK,  had promised "a plethora of the finest international cheesemakers and mongers showcasing their amazing cheeses".

After falling well short of the one thing you would expect form a cheese festival, organisers have offered a 50% discount to next years festival, for everyone who had bought a ticket.

The lack of cheese has been blamed on bad weather which stopped the traders from travelling

"Sadly due to this, a few compromises had to be made and we are disappointed that a larger variety of cheese wasn't available," said the organisers.

We're "just as disappointed as yourselves that the event was disrupted by the adverse weather conditions".
