A Current Affair journo Alison Piotrowski says she had credit card frauds nick her details to spend $500 on KFC.

Piotrowski told the ABC that she woke up to a text from her bank alerting her to dodgy transactions on her credit card.

She logged on to her account to find that someone had been using it to buy bulk chicken.

“Lo and behold I had about 20 transactions for KFC which I’m guessing is what had alerted ANZ to the fact that [fraud was happening],” she said.

“I don’t normally eat KFC, I’m normally pretty healthy. To go to KFC every night for dinner for about a week was unusual activity.”

The transactions started small and then got more brazen.

They started at around $20 before moving up to $90 worth of KFC at a time,

“There were a few other transactions as well for iTunes cards and a few untraceable odds and ends,” Piotrowski said.

“But I think it came to about just shy of $500 of KFC.”

That is bloody lot of chicken.
