Taco Drive-Thrus Are Coming Soon To A Suburb Near You

Mexican fast food chain Guzman y Gomez has big plans to introduce drive-through tacos and burritos to Australia.

Guzman y Gomez already operates drive-through stores in Darwin and Nerang, Queensland, but they are planning on opening more in the very near future.

“We have another dozen to open over the next 12 months. People are becoming more educated on what they are eating with traditional fast food and now they don’t have to compromise on quality for the convenience of a drive-through,” Chief Executive Steven Marks told The Australian.

“Our kitchens are built for it; we just needed to put in a separate window. Imagine what we could do if this is set up properly,” he added.

The Australian-based chain recently expanded to Singapore, and has hopes of opening stores in China and possibly even the US in the future.
