If you've ever thought, "That burger was delicious but it really needed more tarantula" then boy do we have the restaurant for you.

Bull City Burger in Durham, North Carolina, host an annual "exotic meat" month celebrating pretty much anything that isn't beef or chicken.

But alongside the Wild Elk Burger and the Turtle Burger lives the Tarantula Burger, a classic beef patty on a bun and topped with an oven baked, lightly salted spider.

"People say it tastes most like crab, or other shellfish, sometimes with a bit of a metallic-y taste," Bull City Burger said.

"BUT, the legs, the body... each bite tastes a bit different."

Not anyone can take on the challenge, though; customers who reckon they can take the spider sandwich on have to enter a $30 raffle, with just 18 zebra tarantulas up for grabs.

Just for anyone playing at home, this is a zebra tarantula.

No need to worry if you miss out on the tarantula, though. Bull City Burger has reassured customers that they have plenty of other insects up for grabs.
