Everyone knows that the Super Bowl is a bloody expensive sporting event to attend but a photo uploaded to the CrownBet Facebook page has highlighted the absolutely ridiculous cost of a beer at the annual NFL game.

Taken at a bar at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the snap of the drinks list shows the cheapest can starting at AUD$16 and a "speciality draft" coming in at AUD$21.50.

Speciality cans and domestic drafts were priced at AUD$19 and AUD$17.50 respectively, with a bottle of water costing AUD$7.50.

In 2016, Business Insider fingered the SCG and Allianz Stadium in NSW as the sporting venues with the most expensive beers, at $8 each.

Victoria's AAMI Park and Etihad Stadium came in just behind with $7.80 bevvies, the Gabba with $7.70 and ANZ Stadium with $7.20.

One commenter did point out, though, that if punters could afford to fork out the AUD$1200 for a ticket to the Super Bowl they could probably afford to stump up for one of those overpriced beers.
