The Emmy's, the awards for the best primetime US television programming, have just taken place over in LA, and Australian's have cleaned up.

Nicole Kidman took home the gong for Best Actress In A Limited Series Or Movie for her turn in Pretty Little Lies, dedicating her win to husband Keith Urban and their two kids.

Kidman said in her acceptance speech that the Emmy would sit on the shelf of her childrens' bedroom so they could look at it and know "every time my mum didn't put me to bed it's because of this, so [they] got something."

Aussie film producer Bruna Papandrea took out another Emmy for Australia for her producer work on the same series that Kidman starred in.

Australia entered the awards night having already won two awards at the Creative Arts Emmys last week, with fashion designer Perry Meek (RuPaul's Drag Race) and creative director John McKelvey (Being John Malkovich .com) taking home trophies - taking Australia's Emmys total this year to four.
