Star Wars fans felt a disturbance in the force today, but in a good way.

Filming on the new Han Solo film has officially commenced, on February 20th to be exact, at Pinewood Studios in London.

The movie will tell the tale of what Han Solo and Chewbacca got up to before their adventures in the original Star Wars (well, Star Wars IV: A New Hope) came to light.

It’s been revealed that this movie will also see Han Solo catch up with that other card-playing rogue from a galaxy far, far away, Lando Calrissian.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are co-directing the movie, with a cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

Can not bloody wait! It’s due to hit Oz cinemas in May, 2018.
