Get Ready Meow, Super Troopers 2 Has A Release Date

The hotly anticipated sequel to 2001's cult comedy favourite Super Troopers finally has a potential release date.

The crew behind the film, Broken Lizard chucked up one of most generously received crowd funding pages, and took the 4.6million USD they raised and have wrapped filming on Super Troopers 2.

The promotion tour has kicked off, and while the film doesn't have a set-in-stone release date, Broken Lizard member Steve Lemme has heavily hinted that we will be seeing the film in April 2018.

Speaking to Seven Days in the US, Lemme suggested that the film will be released on a day that is synonymous to marijuana smokers around the world...April 20, or 4/20...

"There is [a release date], but I can’t tell you what it is," Lemme said,

"Here’s what I can tell you: It’s springtime and there’s a very obvious date, which happens to fall on a Friday this year. It’s going to be our widest release. And it’s testing better than any movie we’ve tested. It came out fantastic."
